Attorney Reveals Celebrities Settling to Avoid Public Exposure
A growing number of high-profile celebrities are quietly paying off victims connected to the Sean “Diddy” Combs sex assault case, according to Attorney Tony Buzbee. As the case unfolds, some famous individuals are choosing to settle outside of court to avoid being publicly named in lawsuits.
More Than 120 Victims Represented by Buzbee’s Firm
Tony Buzbee, the lawyer representing over 120 alleged victims of Sean Combs, recently disclosed in an interview with TMZ that his firm is preparing to file lawsuits against a group of prominent stars. However, before these cases reach the public eye, Buzbee is offering the individuals a chance to settle discreetly. According to him, several celebrities have opted to resolve these matters privately.
Settlement to Protect Victims and Public Figures
Buzbee highlighted that his team works diligently to resolve these sensitive cases outside of the courtroom whenever possible. He emphasized that this approach is often in the best interests of both the victims and the celebrities involved. As Buzbee explained to the Daily Mail, they have already settled a few cases involving well-known individuals.
“In every single case, especially cases like this, because it’s in the best interests of the victim, we attempt to resolve these matters without the filing of a public lawsuit,” Buzbee stated. “We’ve done that already with a handful of individuals, many of whom you’ve heard of before.”
Combs Pleads Not Guilty in Criminal Case
Sean “Diddy” Combs was arrested last month in connection with a high-profile sex-trafficking case. Despite the serious charges, the founder of Bad Boy Records has entered a not-guilty plea.
Upcoming Lawsuits and Demand Letters Sent
In addition to the private settlements, Buzbee has announced plans to file multiple lawsuits on behalf of his clients, including 25 minors, starting this month. Prior to these legal actions, his firm has already sent out demand letters notifying other individuals—apart from Combs—who will also face lawsuits.
As this case continues to develop, it is expected to reveal more about the involvement of other celebrities and the ongoing efforts to reach private settlements.
